There is no useful one-price answer

A login page and dashboard can be inexpensive. A multi-tenant product with subscriptions, permissions, imports, external APIs, mobile workflows and AI can be a completely different engineering problem. Cost follows workflow complexity more than the number of screens.

The biggest cost drivers

User roles, data relationships, external integrations, billing, mobile requirements, real-time behavior, reporting, AI features, security requirements and custom design usually change the budget more than basic CRUD screens.

A smaller MVP is not the same as a cheap product

The first version should remove optional breadth while protecting the parts that are hard to replace later: data model, authentication, permissions, payment state, core workflow and integration boundaries.

Where AI changes the economics

AI coding tools can reduce repetitive implementation and accelerate testing or prototyping. They do not eliminate discovery, architecture, QA, deployment, security or product decisions. Used well, they compress delivery without turning the codebase into a black box.

Use a range, then validate with discovery

A directional calculator can help frame the budget, but a short discovery pass is usually the fastest way to identify the real cost drivers. Try our SaaS MVP Cost Estimator in the Tools section, then compare the result with the actual workflow you need to launch.
