01 You have an idea

From scribbled notes to a working product people actually use.

You've been talking about it for months. There's a deck. There's a Slack thread. There's a clear sense it should exist — and a less clear sense of what comes first. That's where we come in.

First real users Week 6 — 8
If you're nodding at any of these

You're not stuck. You're at the starting line.

Most of our idea-stage clients arrive somewhere on this list. Pick the one that sounds most like you — we've shipped a product from each of these starting points.

How an idea travels through our studio

One drawing turns into three artifacts.

We make the unknown smaller in stages. Each stage is something you can hold, click, or hand to a customer — not a doc you have to imagine into reality.

01 · Sketch Day 1 — 5
Sketch artifact preview

Hand-drawn over a working session. Cheap, fast, ruthless about cutting scope.

02 · Wireframe Week 2 — 3
Wireframe artifact preview

Clickable prototype on a real staging URL. You can send it to a customer and watch them use it.

03 · Live product Week 6 — 8
Live product artifact preview

Real product on a real domain. Authentication, payments, the boring bits — all working.

The 8-week shape

What an idea engagement actually looks like.

Not every engagement runs exactly to plan — but most look something like this. Discovery is rarely longer than a week; we'd rather start building.

01 Discovery Wk 1

Two working sessions. We leave with a decision-grade brief and a list of the riskiest assumptions to test first.

  • Stakeholder interviews
  • Scope & success metrics
  • One-page brief
02 Prototype Wk 2 — 3

A clickable, hosted prototype of the core flow. You can put it in front of a real customer this week, not next quarter.

  • UI for the critical path
  • Staging URL
  • 5 customer interviews
03 Build MVP Wk 4 — 7

Real backend, real data, real auth. We ship to staging weekly and demo every Friday. Scope is held with a guillotine.

  • Database & auth
  • Core feature set
  • Weekly demos
04 Launch Wk 8

Production deploy, analytics in place, a clear handoff doc, and a kept-warm relationship for the next ninety days.

  • Production deploy
  • Analytics & alerts
  • 90-day post-launch
The questions we hear most

You're allowed to ask the obvious ones.

These come up on almost every first call. Answered plainly here so we can spend our discovery time on the questions that are specific to you.

I only have a rough idea. Is it too early to talk to you?
Usually no. The cheapest moment to involve a builder is before assumptions calcify in a doc. A 45-minute conversation will tell us — and you — whether you're ready for a discovery week, or whether you need a few more customer conversations first. Either answer is fine.
What if I want to build it myself eventually?
Many of our idea-stage clients do exactly that. We ship clean, documented code on stacks you can hire for. Around month three we'll start a transition plan if you want — we'd rather you outgrow us than feel locked in.
How much does this typically cost?
An MVP engagement is usually in the £45k — £120k range, depending on scope and integrations. We send a fixed-scope proposal after discovery week one, so you're never agreeing to a number based on a wish list.
Can we start with just discovery?
Yes — and we often recommend it. A standalone discovery week is around £6k and gives you a brief, a prototype direction, and a costed build plan. No obligation to continue with us afterwards.

You've described the idea twenty times. Let's build the version people can use.

A 45-minute first call. No deck required. Bring the napkin if you've got one.
